Studio Rockers return with a new offering from London producer Effersay
After strong support from the likes of Mani Festo, ETCH, Otik, Dead Mans Chest & DJ Food to name a few, Effersay is back on Studio Rockers showing a range of influences from classic rave and jungle up to the present day.
"This Sound" comes in hard with the vocal samples and stabs of late 80s / early 90s rave, a driving housey piano and UKG-infused breaks... Prepare to be transported to a free party somewhere by the M25!
"Like You Do" drops the tempo a touch with a 'broken breaks' vibe: a booming 808, chopped up break and cheeky amen sits underneath a live, free jazz-inspired flute that compliments the glitched female vocal. "Freakydeeky" takes an eclectic 160 jungle direction, via B-more and footwork with a little punk rock attitude. "Azadi", Iranian for 'freedom', takes the voices of freedom protestors and applies epic 90s pads and a driving Amen and speaker-bothering bass.
